While it may seem like a high number, its showing that 29.4% of the residents were born overseas. This data also shows that over the years (2017-2018), that the Australian born residents increased by 1.1%, overseas born residents increased in their population by a much larger 2.8%, Whilst that figure is high, it was down from 3.3% over the previous years.
