The Best Streets in Berwick

Berwick is beautiful, and its property values reflect its high quality. However, even the nice areas have good and bad and the street you live on can make or break your enthusiasm. Nice suburbs can have cars skidding at night, while less popular suburbs can have tight-knit courts and communities.

Why not have the good with the good? Here are the top 5 ranked streets to live on in Berwick where you can enjoy both the area and your experience living there.

1. Wimmera Court

First place goes to Wimmera Court, Berwick. Home to families with children and retirees, it’s described as a quiet court without a lot of traffic. It is well suited for kids to play outside without overbearing concern for their safety as the court protects them from heavy traffic.

2. Bryn Mawr Boulevard

Ranked the second best street by locals in Berwick is Bryn Mawr Boulevard. It is only a short walk from the local shops and public transport, and close to Akoona Park. Residents who have rated this street speak highly of their lovely neighbours and praise the friendliness of the locals.

However, unlike Wimmera Court, Bryn Mawr Boulevard is subject to heavy traffic during peak times.

3. Brisbane Street

Brisbane Street is perfectly situated in the heart of ‘Old Berwick’, surrounded by tall trees and magnificent views to the north if you reach the peak of the hill. The blocks on Brisbane Street vary in size, adding appeal to the street with some of their larger allotments.

The houses are older – nodding to an era long gone. Many amenities are within walking distance, including football clubs and ovals for the kids to play. Brisbane Street is said to be peaceful and quiet with little nightlife – which can be a positive or a negative depending on your own lifestyle.

4. Angelique Street

Angelique Street makes the list for its family friendly features. It is close to childcare facilities, medical facilities, and has little traffic making it safer for children. Within walking distance is Berwick Chase Primary, perfect for crisp morning walks with the kids on the way to school. The street is relatively quiet regarding neighbours, and there is an abundance of parks and play areas nearby making this an ideal street for families.

5. Neilian Retreat

Neilian Retreat is known for its tight-knit neighbourly community where everyone says “hello”. Past residents have even stated they wish they could have taken their neighbours with them when they moved.

Close to a nearby school, the parking situation has been reported difficult with some parents parking in front of people’s houses, making it difficult if you need to go out.

Conclusion

Every street has its highs and lows, but it always helps to have friendly neighbours, pretty scenery, and local amenities when you can. And now you can have all three in Berwick!

Take a moment to Google search your own street. How does yours compare?
